I used to buy the drugstore deodorants with the crazy-high percentage of the toxic aluminum compound because I sweat a lot and need a lot of protection. But I learned this is really bad for your health. The recent change in labeling was shocking -- consult your doctor if you have kidney disease?!?!?!? That did it, and I switched to these crystal deodorants.
For being natural and non-toxic, they deserve 10 stars. However, my being spoiled by the chemical stuff, I have 2 small "cons":
- I have to spray a little and let it dry, then spray a little more. Otherwise, it forms into droplets that run down my sides and away from the armpit.
- I also have to reapply this one or two more times throughout the day. Being a heavy woman I think makes this an issue. It protects *perfectly* for about 4 hours -- after this, I need to spray it again. This means carrying one of these bottles with me throughout the day, AND remembering to reapply BEFORE I notice a smell. It's a small inconvenience, but I am convinced that it's still better than taxing my body with chemicals and subjecting myself to a higher risk of cancer. This is why I gave this product 5 stars. Yes, it's not as convenient as the toxic, drugstore stuff. But my health is worth the small inconvenience!!
